Squalane is an incredibly effective occlusive-emollient and a penetration enhancer, meaning it carries other active ingredients deeper into the skin, promoting repair on a cellular level. Its occlusive properties allow it to form a barrier that traps water into the skin, preventing trans-epidermal water loss and keeping the skin hydrated and plump.

Revamp utilises Hemp Seed Oil for its Omega 3, 6 and 9 regenerative fatty acids, all powerful agents in hydrating the skin and balancing sebum levels, making it an optimal moisturiser for both dry and oily skin types. It is abundant with amino acids, antioxidants and is also a rich source of vitamin E.

 Vitamin C, CoQ10 and Sea-Buckthorn

Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) is an oil-soluble Vit C derivative that is uniquely bio-compatible, protecting against cell damage while promoting collagen synthesis. Studies demonstrate that it has superior absorptions qualities to that of other Vitamin C alternatives, penetrating deeper for maximised benefits. 

CoQ10 is an enzyme naturally occurring in the human body. It provides skin cells with the necessary energy to perform basic functions to do with regeneration and repair, while also behaving as an antioxidant to protect cells from oxidative stress. Applied topically, studies have shown that it can help to fade and prevent dark spots by blocking tyrosinase (a precursor to melanin production).

A potent source of vitamins and minerals, Sea-Buckthorn Berry Extract is an all-rounder that ticks a wide-range of important boxes. It is bursting with vitamin C, Vitamin A, and various B vitamins, vitamin E, lycopene, phytosterols, and numerous phenolic compounds that provide antioxidant effects. Uniquely, this fruit extract is able to help stabilise elements in skin that would normally break down in the presence of free radicals. Like other berry ingredients, it also has a profound soothing effect on the skin. 

 Rosehip, Tamanu and Tea Tree

Post-surgery studies have shown that topical application of Rosehip Oil improves the overall look of scarring by enabling faster healing. It is also rich in vitamin E and anthocyanin—both of which calm and soothe irritation, meaning that Rosehip can be greatly beneficial for inflammatory skin issues such as rosacea and eczema. It's anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties make it a helpful ingredient for acne-prone skin.

A power-house ingredient, Tamanu Oil delivers a number of notable benefits, with a long history of use in effectively treating various skin conditions. Perhaps most focally, this century-old remedy has been praised for its ability to vastly accelerate wound-healing. Contemporarily, it is often used to calm inflamed breakouts and expedite the fading of acne scars. Testing has identified it to be antimicrobial and highly efficacious in fighting against the specific bacteria associated with acne. Clinically, it has been shown to promote cell proliferation and stimulate the production of glycosaminoglycans which support and maintain structural proteins such as collagen and elastin.

Tea Tree Oil is extracted from the leaves of the tea tree. Its herbal, slightly medicinal aroma includes a combination of over 100 compounds: some of which are believed to calm factors that contribute to the development of blemishes. Research has shown that tea tree oil can reduce both pustules and papules, by combating imbalances in the skin’s bacteria.
